The oldest town in Zearing was thought to have been the old home of Doc Hall and is in the 1956 history of Zearing as such. This is incorrect and by quite a difference in age. The oldest home in town is the former Selmer & Bessie Good home. According to Story County property records The Good home was built in 1870 and Doc Hall home was built in 1890 nearly twenty years after the fact. All according
to public records. The original Richardson was a log home.
